Music is the nectar

Sustaining life

For my people

Bringing hope on days where no matter what is lost

Our anima will never go hungry

Fed by the fiery force

Sweetened

Pulling the heartstrings

In all the right ways.

Music that unites

Ignites

Lights

A fire in my heart

More powerful when I sing in both languages

A grito channels the old Gods and new

Add lyrics capturing snapshots of life

Experiences carved by the wind instruments

Strings plucked by hands that touch the spirit world

Brings out my inner strength.

I feel the most profound beauty

The very catalyst to take on the living world

So long as music plays out loud

Drowns out any voice who denies inner truths

The music makes me feel worthy

I can take on anything.

I embrace

My healer

Willingly.
